Intensive Driving Courses
At Accelerate we provide intensive courses and semi-intensive courses.
Here is some information that should help answer some of your thoughts on intensive courses.
When you book an intensive course you will already have passed your theory test, and your driving test should be booked, or just about to be booked. We can book it for you and you will need an instructor ADI number if booking yourself which we will provide. You can then decide on when you want to take your lessons.
Some people may decide to wait until the last week or two just before test then do lessons.
You can also start lessons after booking test which will leave about five weeks to cover lessons. This is more semi-intensive.
In my own experience semi-intensive work better for most. It allows more time to learn and also reduces pressure. If you are having difficulty with some point in your driving and your test date is two days away it will pile the pressure on, thus giving you more to think about.
How many hours you will need will vary from person to person. It is important to have your driving assessed before taking a set amount of hours. Your instructor will keep you right.
You will do the test in the car you learn in, and you have the option of taking your instructor on the test with you.
